Your Caribbean wedding

I had the pleasure of spending three days in the beautiful island of St Lucia. I know what you are thinking its a tough job. The St Lucian tourist board decided to lanch an annual wedding symposium.
Planners worldwide were invited to see the island to to see what a wonderful location for a wedding St Lucia is.
The interesting this for me as a wedding planner in Essex is that St Lucia offers couples a stunning location to marry and somewhere they can have a fabulous day at a fraction of the cost of a wedding here in the UK. The other interesting thing is that if you want your wedding in the Caribbean, you don't have to have a tour operator wedding or what the Yanks call a 'cookie cutter wedding'
As you know, if you read my blog or website I hate package weddings. Brides aren't packages and so should have the option of planning their day how they want it. Why shouldn't it be the same in the Caribbean. Well it can and very soon Louise Perry Weddings will be offering bespoke wedding planning the Caribbean but specialising in St Lucia and we won't be offering packages.
I took millions of photos so plenty of blogs on the way but here are just a handful of shots of the gorgeous island. Personally I can't wait to go back.

Save the Date

I am currently searching for save the date cards for a client's wedding in Buckinghamshire next year. It made me ask the question do you need save the date cards? can't you just email and save on paper?
NO, NO, NO. Your save the date card will be the first thing your guests see in relation to your big day. When you are planning your London wedding, you need to picture the overall look and feel to the wedding and its starts with that save the date card. The only acception to this would be if it was really last minute.
The amount of brides in Essex that literally just buy and book things at random isn't true. You have to see the end result and then work towards that and don't get distracted by every little thing you see at you local wedding show. This will also save you money as you only book and buy the things that will give you that lovely picture you have in your mind about your wedding day. Never loose that picture and its starts with the save the date. What do you think of these

wedding planner London. The year so far...

This is only the second year of trading for Louise Perry Weddings in Essex and it has been a great year so far with the business continuing to evolve and more weddings planned for next year and the prospect of taking on the wedding planning for a stunning venue in Essex which I am very excited about, but more on that later.
I have coordinated the day for the lovely Rachel at a fantastic venue in East London, St John's in Hackney. I planned a lovely flying inspired wedding for Jeremy and Sarah in Essex. I assisted a wedding planner colleague of mine in pulling together a very complex Summer wedding in a tipi in Hertfordshire. I look forward to a two day extravaganza in London for my wonderful client Claudia and then we move onto next year which sees another two day wedding in Buckinghamshire for 250 guests and a trip to St Lucia.

A country wedding in Hertfordshire

As the sun began to start shining in the Summer I was making the final touches to a lovely country village fete wedding in Hertfordshire with a wedding planner collegue of mine, Lisa Baker from Just Bespoke.
It had been quite a complicated and involved wedding to plan as there were so many suppliers involved in the day. We had everything from fire eaters to Mr Marvel! but the weather was wonderful for us and the tipis looking stunning at the very pretty North Hill Farm in Chorleywood. Here are a few of my photos from the day.

Rachel and Gus - A London Wedding

Back in June I was booked to co-ordinate on the day for Rachel and Gus. They had already confirmed their wedding venue in London, it was to be held at St John's in Hackney, which is a stunning church.
The venue is huge and we needed to look carefully at the decoration that we would use so that it didn't feel to big.
Rachel was very keen to plan the wedding herself but she knew that she needed some help on the day with set up and break down and she also wanted some support with some of the suppliers she hadn't yet sourced, which I was happy to do.
A wedding planner in London can give you as much or as little help as you need and every quote given is totally bespoke, just like every wedding we help with.
We don't offer packages, as brides aren't pakcages and every wedding we help to plan is totally unique.
