Creeksea Place

I have the pleasure of  over seeing all of the wedding co ordination at the stunning Creeksea Place,  a wedding venue in Essex. The historical beauty of this Tudor mansion, with its lawn and lakes, will provide a unique and exquisite setting for your special day. Creeksea Place is the most magnificent wedding venue in Essex, exclusively yours for the day. This is a completely unique location for your wedding and  it allows you to have a totally bespoke wedding. Which is what Louise Perry Weddings is all about.

Civil ceremonies can be performed in any of the six licensed settings, they include the magnificent Walled Garden or under the marble pergola in the Orchard. Reception drinks can be served in the Walled Garden or on the lawn, with magical views of the manor house, Victorian bridge and Lakeside Lawn. It is one of the few wedding venues in Essex where you can have an outside ceremony, even when the weather is a little overcast.

Traditionally, the Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception are held in the beautiful silk lined marquee, with breath-taking views of the manor’s striking façade that will captivate both you and your guests. After sunset, the glorious buildings and grounds are illuminated with spotlights, candles and burning torches. It really is a magical place to get married and can only be fully appreciated by a personal visit and then myself and the outstanding team at Creeksea Place can  meet with you to discuss your plans.

Venue Focus - High House Barns, Essex

Last month I had the pleasure of taking a look around Highhouse Barns. I met with the lovely Victoria, from Pink Butterfly Weddings for a tour and a chat about this new and exciting venue.
Located not too far from the QE11 bridge in Purfleet the barns have been renovated to accomodate wedding receptions, parties and they are licensed for civil cermeonies. There is a lovely walled garden for photos and the fact that you can have the QE11 bridge in the background in certain shots give the venue a trendy, urban feel, although inside its a lovely barn.
You can bring in all of your own suppliers, although when it comes to catering Victoria has recommended caterers who know the venue, but other than that you have a blank canvas.
For live music, at Essex wedding band One Foot in the Groove we love a barn as the acoustics lend themselves very well to live music. The wood gives a nice warm rounded sound. If you are looking for something slightly different then Highhouse Barn is definately worth a look.

Blake Hall

I have some favourite venue's across London and the South East and I thought I'd share one with you, Blake Hall near Ongar in Essex. If you are looking for a barn style venue then look no further that this little gem.

I very well laid out barn with the bar and dance floor all in the same room and the gorgeous outside terrace area for drinks. They are licensed for civil ceremonies and weatehr permitting have renovated the saddlery to hold wedding ceremonies.

Plenty of photo opportunites exist around the barn and in the beautiful gardens at Blake Hall but the reason why this venue is so fabulous is the staff. They couldn't be nicer and more helpful, nothing is too much trouble for the team at Blake Hall. Every wedding is completely bespoke and unique, which is exactly how it should be.

The Fennes Estate

On Sunday I attended The Fennes Estate open day. On my last post I gave you a quick overview of the venue, but what is hard to picture is attached to this gorgeous house are two fabulous pavillions. One has a nighclub area, brilliant if you are having a DJ in the evening. The bar is in the same room, which is always better and this is attached to the main house and where you would also hold your civil ceremony of you choose to have one.
The second pavillion can seat up to 360 people for your wedding breakfast, or can be used for the evening reception if you are having a live band.  If you are looking for an exclusive venue, which is your home for the day then take a look around The Fennes. They also have great deals if you are happy to get married mid week and the staff are great.
